Kyle & Luna are getting married!

Date Thursday, 29 October 2026
Venue Tillingham, Peasmarsh, East Sussex
Ceremony 1:30pm — please arrive by 1:00pm

Groomsmen
Attire

As mentioned before, we won't be doing matching suits, mostly because its very expensive. However, I will sort some kind of matching accessory (or accessories) so we're all on a kind of theme. Once I have my own suit sorted, then I will show you boys some pics in the case you want to match/complement what I'll be wearing, but no stress.

Also, those flower things you get pinned to your suits at weddings may or may not be provided. Depends if its a rip off or not. Watch this space!

The Day Before — 28th October

I will be travelling down from London at around 11am, I'll be picking up a hire car and will be aiming to get to the airbnb (details below) at around 1-2PM. Please do feel free to join me but no pressure given you all have busy jobs etc.

I have yet to book it but I will be booking a large Airbnb for us all to stay in the night before. This will be for the grooms party only and unfortunately doesn't include partners so please make suitable arrangements. As this is my last night as a "single man" please expect whiskey, sport, cigars, and plenty of crying (mostly about how in love with Luna I am).

There will likely be a few day-before-the-big-day jobs that I'll need some help with. I will try and keep this to a minimum so we can focus on the actual wedding day. Likely, we'll get a takeaway or go for a sensibly priced (and sensibly portioned) curry.

Further details to follow on the "Kyle's Kings" group chat.

The Day

You'll all have roles on the day and thank you all for very kindly accepting. It will be an honour to stand up there beside you all. Roles below:

  • Daniel — Celebrant
  • Jordan — Best Man
  • Marcus — Master of Ceremonies
  • George — Speech
  • Doug — Speech
  • Steve — Speech
Food

On the day, the meal isn't going to be served until around 4PM, so super important we get a nutritious breakfast in. I expect we can put this all together at the Airbnb. Open to suggestions but probably a fry up or something continental. Definitely some decent coffee. Stick suggestions in the group chat please.

Getting to Tillingham

As you're all staying on site and there is plenty of parking, we'll be driving from the Airbnb to Tillingham. Marcus & Steve, I'll need your help here as the other boys will need lifts from the Airbnb (unless they opt to hire a car themselves I suppose). I'll be driving myself to the venue.

Ceremony

We'll arrive at Tillingham for around 1PM. Starting with a firm team talk to get stuck in and let them know we're there early, we'll then do some mingling with the guests. We'll then take to the field for the ceremony, assuming a 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 straight line formation, with Daniel in the deep lying celebrant role, at around 1:25PM ready for a half past KO.

The Day After

Plans for the day after are on 'The Day After' tab on the website. No obligation to stay on, but given we'll all be off work, may as well.

Bridal Party
Accommodation

I have booked a room at Tillingham for me to stay the night before — it sleeps 4, so will fit me + the three maids of honour Livvi, Alice & Esme.

The rest of you are more than welcome to stay the night before as well, however I can't cover the cost of more rooms so you would need to cover that between the four of you. There is absolutely no pressure to do this as I know it's another cost, so it's completely up to you. It would be no more than £100pp. Please let me know if you would like to do this and I will organise it directly with Tillingham.

The Day Before — 28th October

I will be travelling up from London at around 11am, aiming to get to Rye at midday. Join me if you can, but again no pressure.

The plan will roughly be:

  • Pick up any last minute bits we may need from Rye (flowers, snacks, decorations)
  • Head to Tillingham
  • Start setting up the barn area (this is where the ceremony is going to take place — it's closed to the public that time of year so we can go in and set up the day before)
  • Tell the Tillingham team where everything needs to be set up in the rest of the venue tomorrow morning
  • Set up getting ready room
  • Check into our rooms at 3pm
  • Make the flower bouquets & finalise any decorations
  • Dinner somewhere in Rye
  • Pre-wedding pamper
  • Early bed time!
The Day

Your help on the day to save me from a breakdown will be very much appreciated. I will write a list closer to the time and divvy these out (thank you) — Esme, I'm looking at you for music.

Food

Everyone staying at the hotel will get breakfast in the morning — eat a big meal, as the next opportunity to eat will be 4pm. I will buy plenty of snacks to keep in our rooms to keep us going throughout the day.

Setting Up

The Tillingham team will be setting up the bar & restaurant areas in the morning.

Getting Ready

I am still finalising the timings of the make-up artist but we will likely start getting ready at 8am. If you are planning to come up on the day, I would try and get here no later than 7:30am.

Will aim for everyone to be ready by 12/12:30 so we have an hour to relax and take photos, before the ceremony kicks off at 1:30pm (EEK).

Photos

The photographer will be there on the day from 1pm–8pm. She won't be there during the morning so we'll use the disposable cameras for pics of us getting ready.

Ceremony

You will all walk down the aisle together in two's (apart from 1 of you — I'll let you decide amongst yourselves who that is), before me and my mum walk down together.

The Day After

Plans for the day after are on 'The Day After' tab on the website. No obligation to stay on, I know lots of you have babies to get back to!

How We Met

The Woolpack, Bermondsey — January 2023

The Woolpack, Bermondsey
The booth on the left, christmas tree and all
Kyle's version

The Woolpack on Bermondsey High Street. My go to first date spot. Perfectly placed for all eventualities, being just 2 jubilee line stops to my old flat in Canada Water. I arrived embarrassingly punctually, texting "just here, just outside" at 7:30PM on the dot. Naturally, Luna was 5 minutes late. We quickly got into all the first date conversations. From siblings, to work, to hopes, dreams, aspirations. I remember we got particularly deep into music festivals, mainly as I was gushing about how good Glastonbury is.

The night moved on and the drinks were flowing. People started to vacate and soon enough management wanted us out. However, having such a good time, we weren't done yet and found a cocktail bar just over the road for a nightcap.

After a cocktail each, Luna attempted to get me arrested by walking out and not paying the bill. Obviously, we were accosted by our waiter and I was marched back to pay the outstanding bill. The laughing and the fun didn't stop there though, as we walked back to the station and took silly photos of me next to these large statues outside the shard.

On the escalator down to the Jubilee line, I sealed the deal with a smooch. We went our separate ways. When I got home I immediately fell asleep. I woke up to a "thanks for checking I got home ok" message... luckily, I must have made a good enough impression despite this faux pas as I secured the second date, and third, and every date since. The rest is history as they say.

Kyle and Luna
one man and his onion
Luna's version

It was a cold January day, back in 2023. I was already annoyed about having to wait around in the office to kill time before our 7.30pm date in Bermondsey. 'Let's meet at the Woolpack' he said, I side eyed and thought, Bermondsey hey, coincidentally close to where he was living at the time, Canada Water… hopefully he hasn't got an idea of where I will be staying that night. I head into the rainy evening, make-up reapplied and dressed head to toe in black, I jump on the tube from Camden.

I'd always been a little nervous before a first date; what if we get into a heated political debate and he ups and leaves (actually happened) or worse, he's a picky eater, you never know what a date has in store. I'm a little late and he's waiting outside the pub and greets me with a big friendly smile and hug — I was immediately put at ease, I thought 'oh thank god, he's normal.' Hours passed and I realise we actually have lots in common, he tells me about roadtrips in France and Italy, his passion for Liverpool FC and most importantly, restaurants. We bond over our love of food and wine, I share my favourite places in London, he tells me his in Bristol (which he later takes me to on our first trip away). The evening passes with ease, we head home and have our first kiss on the escalator at London Bridge station, a spot we've passed many times since and every time I have a little smile on my face thinking of that moment. He was just so lovely. I get home and sent the all important post-date voicenote to the girls, to quote; 'good vibes from him, let's see where it goes'.
